I love junk

Collecting junk is in my blood. Imagining trash into treasure is encoded in my DNA. My family watches Antiques Roadshow and American Pickers religiously. Opa collected old tools and car parts. Oma keeps plastic bags and twist ties that she reuses for banana bread. My middle sister has amassed a large collection of tiny plastic toys. My mother and oldest sister love dark, carved wood furniture. My personal weakness is clothes. All kinds of clothes- vintage, designer, costume, Target's finest, J Crew-I don't discriminate. But I've discovered my key to sanity (and marital bliss) is finding the diamond in the rough. Sifting through all the trash (and the nice-just-not-for-me) and keeping the treasure. Acting as curator for my personal collection.
